Well child visits

Both kids had well child visits yesterday. Lucas for his 9 month and Ava for her 3 year. Grandma came with me so she could help with Ava. Ava is 33lbs (75%) and 39 1/4" (90-95%). She is tall! She grew 4" ,I think, in a year. She did really well. Last year she wouldn't stand on the scale or stand against the wall to check her height/weight. The nurse, who was very good with her, got her to do both. She got her BP checked too. She did good with that too. I didn't get to pay a whole lot of attention because I had to change Lucas's diaper. She did some talking but not a whole lot. She did tell the nurse she was a girl when asked. But she wouldn't say her colors, she would only point when asked which one was blue. She was asked how old she was but she didn't answer. Not because she doesn't know, maybe she just doesn't want to talk? She was asked to draw a circle and a cross. She drew all kinds of circles, even on the cross, but she wouldn't draw a cross.
Lucas hasn't grown a whole lot since 6 months. Really, less than and inch and not even a lb heavier. He dropped from 90% in height in Dec to 50% now. His weight dropped from 75% in Dec to 25% now. He is 1/4 inch shorter than Ava was at 9 months, he's always been taller. Who knows maybe his growth pattern is going to have him growing insane amounts in the future. It's just hard to believe that he is so short when Jay is so tall. He got two shots and my MIL took Ava out of the room, I guess so she didn't get upset. She was lucky and didn't need any.
So we had McDonalds for lunch. All except Lucas, he isn't eating that stuff yet.
